Georgetown/Cape senior league team wins District 3 title

The Georgetown/Cape senior league baseball team won the District 3 crown July 2 with a 12-2 win over Nanticoke/Laurel.
Jackson Mariner pitched six innings, giving up two hits and two unearned runs. He also went 2-for-5 and had the game-ending hit. Jarret Wilkins was 3-for-4 with a RBI. Nate Austin was 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Caleb Locklear was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Trevor Mauzy-Severn was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Georgetown/Cape will open state tournament play Monday, July 8, in Georgetown.
