Girl Scouts receive Longwood grant

January 21, 2021

Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay thank and recognize the Longwood Foundation trustees for naming the organization as a grantee.

The $500,000 grant will help GSCB serve girls through Girl Scouts’ STEM programming.

"We are ecstatic to be able to continue offering girl-led STEM programming through these tough times," said Claudia Peña Porretti, CEO.

The Longwood Foundation's support will give thousands of girls the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts and its STEM-inspired Program on the Move curriculum, along with its known entrepreneurial and outdoor programs.
