Gregory ‘Greg’ L. Wagner, master carpenter

Gregory "Greg" L. Wagner, 69, of Lewes passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 at his home.  He was born Jan. 28, 1951, in Ephrata, Pa., son of the late Donald B. and Sallie (Smith) Wagner.

Greg built a career as a master carpenter, dedicating 33 years to his trade and retiring in 2010.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying everything nature had to offer, especially fishing, boating, and rod-building.  He was also a  Delaware Mobile Surf Fisherman.  Above all, Greg cherished time with those he held most dear.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Marie A. Wagner of Lewes;  his sons: Christopher Wagner (Julie Cullen) of Rehoboth Beach, and Nick Wagner (Bryana) of Newmanstown, Pa.; his grandchildren:  Bennett Wagner and Oakleigh Wagner, both of Newmanstown, and his grandpuppies: Lola Marie, Ted and Bodhi.

Services are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Greg's memory to St. Jude Children's’ Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
