An employee of a haunted attraction in Georgetown faces charges after police say he pulled a gun on a man attending the attraction Oct. 31.
Police were called to Screams on the Beach on Route 9 after a man, 32, was walking through the haunted attraction and got into an altercation with Jacob Sprout, 22, of Georgetown, who then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him, said Cpl. Jason Hatchell of the Delaware State Police.
Sprout, who was working at the attraction, and the man separated, and Sprout was taken into custody without incident, Hatchell said.
Troopers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun with six rounds in the magazine, Hatchell said. Sprout was transported to Troop 4 where he was charged with felony aggravated menacing and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Sprout was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
