Harbeson resident Dr. Susan English was recently selected as dean of general education and professional studies at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, Md.

English was previously head of the math and science department, and an associate professor of mathematics at Wor-Wic. Prior to joining Wor-Wic, she held various academic leadership positions at other community colleges, including vice president for academic affairs and dean of STEM.

English has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, a master’s degree from Salisbury University and a doctorate from Morgan State University in Baltimore.
