Students at H.O. Brittingham Elementary welcomed nationally known harmonica player Gary Allegretto to their school and stage Oct. 9.
Fourth- and fifth-grade students spent time with Allegretto in the morning when they learned to play the harmonica, and each participant received one to take home.
Students in all grades gathered in the gym at the end of the day where they enjoyed an impressive musical performance by Allegretto.
Allegretto was brought to H.O. Brittingham courtesy of the outreach program of The Freeman Stage, where he performed Aug. 1 with a full band.
