Harold Alfred Harris, Army veteran

Harold Alfred Harris, 70, affectionately known as Luke, of Milton departed this life Monday, June 29, 2020, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Harold was born July 9, 1949, in Virginia to the late Virginia Barfield and Clifton Savage Jr. He attended Milton 196C and graduated from Milton High School in 1969.

After he graduated he joined the U.S. Army. He was later employed by Paramount/Allen’s Harbeson, Townsend Millsboro, Food Lion Lewes, and McDonald’s Milford.

In 1991 he met the love of his life, Hattie R. Harmon. On Oct. 15, 1994, they were joined in union together.

He was a member of Faith Hope and Love CHF in Milford under the leadership of Bishop Ralph Harmon.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years. Hattie R. Harris of Milton; two daughters, Juton Harris Reynolds (Karico) of Milford and Maureen McCambridge of Houston; one stepson David Harmon of Milton; three brothers, Robert King Harris of Ellendale, Cecil King (Maxine) of Ellendale and Howard Harris of Temple, Texas; two sisters Angeline Hurst of Coolspring and Georgianna Purnell of Ellendale; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, at 11 a.m., with a viewing two hours prior to the service at Faith Hope and Love CHF in Milford.

Service are entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service Inc., Camden.
