Harvest Festival Saturdays at East Coast Garden Center to run through Oct. 28

September 29, 2017

East Coast Garden Center announces its Fall Harvest Festival has been expanded to run every Saturday through Oct. 28. There will be fall-themed events for kids and adults that are both fun and educational. Every weekend there will be activities like hayrides, pumpkin bowling, photo booth, pumpkin putt putt, a pallet maze and more. Admission for children is $10. Other activities include a haunted house, gem mine and face painting.

In addition to Children's Garden activities held every weekend, there will be Saturday specials for children including a performance of the "Peter Rabbit Puppet Show" by the award-winning Sussex County Master Gardeners, canvas painting, and a "dirt" snack and potting activities.

Saturday specials for adults include a workshop on fall containers, and one on the benefits of planting trees and shrubs in the fall. There's also a monarch butterfly magic class, a Lechuza indoor pottery demonstration and a Waldor Orchids seminar, as well as canvas painting for adults.

Food trucks from Rosenfeld's and Smokin' On The Shore will be on site.

A Spooktacular Costume Party will be Saturday, Oct. 21, with prizes for adults, kids and pets. The festival wraps up Oct. 28 with artists from Gallery One displaying their works in the garden center, and the fall yard sale. Huge savings and deep discounts on both plants and hard goods have made the yard sales extremely popular seasonal events.
