Henry O. ‘Hank’ Grossmiller, successful contractor

Henry O. “Hank” Grossmiller, 89, of Rehoboth Beach was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.  With his daughters by his side he peacefully concluded his earthly journey to begin anew with the Lord.  He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Saturday, April 27, 1929, to the late Catherine E. Grossmiller and Henry O. Grossmiller.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa A. Grossmiller; a son, Kenneth Nicola Grossmiller; and a sister Dorothy Shumaker.

 Hank retired to Rehoboth Beach 17 years ago, coming from Chadds Ford, Pa.  He was a devoted husband and loving father to his four children.  He owned and operated a successful electrical contracting business.  He enjoyed surf fishing, boating, camping, time with his family and was a devoted diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan.  He enjoyed travelling with his family to his favorite vacation destination, Myrtle Beach, S.C.  Hank was a devout Christian and an active member of his church.  He had served as a missionary, travelling with the church and his wife to third world countries.

Mr. Grossmiller is survived by his three daughters: Donna H. Brunke of Ridley Park, Pa.,  Cheryl L. Watson and husband James of Lewes, and Janet C. Brittingham and husband Michael of Lewes;  five grandchildren:  Justin H. Brunke of Prospect Park, Pa.,  Victoria Grossmiller of Springfield, Pa.,  Connor L. Watson of Lewes,  Shauna N. Brittingham and Krista N. Brittingham, both of Lewes; and one daughter-in-law,  Michelle Grossmiller of Springfield.

 All services will be private.  Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
