Holiday fair craft show slated Nov. 3-4 at Rehoboth Art League

October 17, 2018

The Rehoboth Art League’s 34th Annual Holiday Fair Fine Craft Show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3 and 4, to offer area residents and coastal visitors creative shopping in a historic setting. The event draws more than two dozen fine craft artisans to showcase and sell their creative products at the Henlopen Acres campus. From ceramics to jewelry, and from wearable fiber art to glass, the holiday fair has something for everyone.

Community members can stroll the art league grounds to visit artisans’ booths in three different buildings – the historic Homestead, the Chambers building and the main gallery. Sussex Gardeners will also be on campus selling holiday greenery.

Food and drink will be available, courtesy of The Point Coffee House and Bake Shoppe offering breakfast and lunch options in the Children’s Studio, and Dogfish Head, which will offer a selection of craft beer in the Paynter’s Pub.

Finally, the Rehoboth Art League will have raffle tickets available for “Dory,” an original watercolor piece donated by local artist Howard Eberle. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, and proceeds of the artwork raffle will support RAL’s exhibitions and education programs.

Entry is $5 per person for the weekend, and includes one raffle ticket for a chance to win an item donated by participating holiday fair artists. Attendees who take out a new membership or renew their existing membership with RAL will receive free entry. Children under 12 are admitted free to the event.

RAL thanks this year’s event underwriter, Dogfish Head, whose support makes the 2018 Holiday Fair Fine Craft Show possible. The event is also supported, in part, by a grant from theDelaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
