Homewatch Concierge earns accreditation for ninth year

April 4, 2020

For the ninth year, Homewatch Concierge has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association.

The association was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for home watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada. Homewatch is a visual inspection of a home or property looking for obvious issues, a service that keeps an eye on things at a vacation or primary home while owners are not in residence.

Co-owner Tjark Bateman joined Homewatch Concierge in April 2014, after 25 years of customer service experience from working in his family business in Lewes and Georgetown. He is also a Realtor in Rehoboth Beach. Bateman was born and raised in Sussex County.

Bateman is a founding board member of Community Bank Delaware. He supports local and national groups like Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum, Rehoboth Art League, Children's Beach House, Wings of Hope, and Jimmy V Foundation, to name a few. He is a past member of the Rehoboth Beach Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Delaware Environmental Appeals Board for the State of Delaware. He lives in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and daughter.

Co-owner JB Moore joined Homewatch Concierge in May 2016; he has more than 16 years of hospitality experience and maintains an active real estate license. Prior to Homewatch Concierge, Moore served as a manager for several different local hotels. He serves on the board of directors for Coastal Properties, a hotel management company. Moore was born and raised in Rehoboth Beach, and feels proud and lucky to live in such a beautiful beach community. He is a graduate of Elon University and resides in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and five children.
