Lutheran church food pantry open Tuesdays in Rehoboth

The Lord's Cupboard food pantry at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior is open from 9 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesdays, for anyone in need of assistance. The church address is 20276 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth, behind Big Fish Grill.

Catholic Charities food drive

Catholic Charities Inc. of the Diocese of Wilmington again asks all its communities to help stock the pantry by contributing nonperishable food goods to help meet the unprecedented need for food assistance during the pandemic.

COVID-19-related restrictions have helped slow the virus spread but also contributed to high unemployment. The number of people experiencing job loss or a reduction in hours has greatly increased requests for food assistance. Catholic Charities team members have been able to meet this great need, and continued support will enable them to continue. They serve over 3,000 households each year through food cooperatives and emergency food pantries.

Donors can drop off food, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and grocery store gift cards seven days a week at Casa San Francisco, 127 Broad St., Milton; call ahead at 302-684-8694.

Those interested in receiving food assistance must apply for Catholic Charities program membership at, or by calling 302-684-8694 in Sussex County.
