Humane Society honors Carper

The Delaware Humane Association recognized Sen. Tom Carper for his support of the Pet and Women’s Safety Act.

The bill, currently in committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, provides protection for pets of domestic violence victims and allows for a grant program that helps domestic violence shelters provide accommodations for their pets. The bill also has the support of U.S. Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester and Sen. Chris Coons.
