Ignorant propaganda permeates the area

September 7, 2021

“And she ends with the classic communist line, ‘for the common good,’” is how John Simmons attacked a resident who thinks COVID vaccinations should be mandatory in  a recent letter to the editor.  Really?

What about seatbelts?  Polio shots? Social Security?  Medicare? Libraries? Fire departments? Police and public schools? Are they also communists because they support the “common good” too?

I think not.  I retired, and I am a Social Security and Medicare recipient happily.  But my most valuable income is from a union negotiated pension, to wit:  The United States is also a union.  Am I communist too?

Sad that ignorant American propaganda permeates such a nice area of the USA as Lewes.  I may have to rethink a relocation here.
