Irving Thomas Cannon III, HVAC serviceman

Mr. Irving Thomas Cannon III, 54, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an accident Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017.

Mr. Cannon was born Nov. 6, 1962, in Salisbury, Md., to the late Irving T. Cannon Jr. and Joyce Ann Hudson Longfellow, who survives him. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, Thomas James Cannon in 2015; and two brothers, Timothy Gerald Cannon and Matthew Lee Cannon.

Irving worked as a serviceman in the heating and air conditioning business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports, especially watching the Redskins. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Longfellow and her companion Hershel Edwards of Laurel; a brother, Mark Todd Cannon and his companion Tammy Lathbury of Pocomoke City, Md.; a sister, Donna Ann Powell and her husband Christopher of Millville; two grandchildren, Jesse James Cannon and Jordyn Lee Ann Cannon; eight nieces and nephews, Holly Lathbury, Courtney Wise, Hunter Powell, Tyler Powell, Mark Todd Cannon, Jeannie Lathbury, Jeremy Simmons and Katelyn Mae Ann Cannon. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 6 to  7 p.m. for viewing and visitation. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
