It’s all about football

November 8, 2019

Are my fellow Philadelphia Eagles fans as frustrated as I am?

In the off-season, wide receiver DeSean Jackson signed a big contract to come back to Philadelphia. This was supposed to be awesome news. However, he has only played one full game and that was against Washington in the first game of the season.

He has a serious core injury and the latest news is that he is out for the rest the season to surgically repair it. I don't know who's to blame, but what a waste of the year if he wasn't straight up with the trainers about his rehab efforts and didn't let on that he was still hurting. He came up hurt in the very first play of the game last weekend against Chicago. It had to have been an issue right from the start.

I’m worried about the Eagles’ next game against the New England Patriots because the Patriots lost last week for the first time this season. That loss will have them very motivated to beat the Eagles in the upcoming game. The Eagles will have to really step up to win next weekend.

The first college football playoff rankings were released on Tuesday and the top four teams are Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, and Penn State. These rankings will very likely change this week because LSU and Alabama play each other in a very important conference game.

I believe that in two or three years, this playoff system will be expanding to eight teams. That will give the teams from other, smaller conferences a better chance to be in the playoffs.

I think it was also a good move for the committee not to release the initial rankings until the baseball season was officially over.  More fans, like me, will pay closer attention to college football now.
