Italian-American group to kick off Oct. 15

An Italian-American heritage program will kick off from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Lewes Public Library.

Organizers Jo-Ann Vega, Lynn Lombardo, Francesca Carbone and Marlene Evans will share the results of initial planning for a new and innovative Italian-American heritage association.

Bringing Italian-Americans together to learn about and celebrate their heritage, the group will identify and coordinate with existing Italian-American heritage organizations to avoid duplication, and deliver quality initiatives to reach and attract a broad audience and work collaboratively with members to build and sustain the group.

Attendees are asked to bring a photo, recipe or memento to share that reminds them of growing up Italian. Light refreshments will be served.
