Jack Bucchioni supports abortion rights

August 9, 2022

Given the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, I would like to remind voters of the coastal 6th Senate District that candidate Jack Bucchioni was endorsed by Planned Parenthood in 2018. He is not a Johnny come lately. In addition to abortions and abortion referrals, Planned Parenthood is also a wellness health center for both men and women. It is also a provider of contraceptives, sex education tests, general health checkups, as well as STD testing. The loss of these affordable services would be extremely detrimental to communities restricting abortions, but especially for those who find health insurance beyond their means, so our state may find an increase for those women needing safe and affordable healthcare.

Jack Bucchioni is running for the 6th Senate District along the coastal communities. Besides his long-stated positions on women’s rights, gun rights, environmental protection, he is the most qualified to serve on a seat long held by Republicans. The state senator job requires the individual to have a grasp of both regional and national issues. We need more than a single-issue candidate. Jack has clearly stated his beliefs on women’s rights for years, as well as the traditional concerns voiced for many communities. He has addressed all issues facing Delawareans as well as provided reasonable solutions. He is the most well-rounded, knowledgeable and historically dedicated candidate, so that is why I am voting for Jack Bucchioni for state senator for the 6th District.
