James L. Brasure Jr., body shop owner

James L. Brasure Jr., 76, of Frankford, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. Jim was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Williamsville, son of the late James L. and Cecil (Hudson) Brasure.

He and his wife owned and operated Brasure Body Shop in Frankford for 37 years. Jim enjoyed his work and building relationships with all of his customers. He also enjoyed traveling throughout the Caribbean and cruising around in his 1971 Cadillac Eldorado convertible.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and William Brasure. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Paulette E. (Pepper) Brasure; a daughter, Susan Irene England of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, James L. Brasure IV of Pittsville, Md.; three grandsons, Kyle Nicholas England, James Brasure and Charles Brasure; two brothers, Carroll Brasure and his wife Diane of Selbyville, and Wade Brasure of Selbyville; his faithful canine companion, Princess; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 11, at Roxana Cemetery.
