Janice Marie Gray Lewis, 86, of Frankford, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at the home of two special caregivers, Celeste and Michael Jones. Janice had been residing with them for the past month. She was born in Roxana, Nov. 25, 1939, daughter of the late Audrey Elizabeth McComrick Gray and Ellis E. Gray.
Janice worked as a bookkeeper her entire life, and before retirement, she had worked for the Adkins family for 17 years. You could often find her enjoying working in her yard; otherwise, she was reading a book or adding to her Willow Tree figurines and Snowbabies collections. In years past, she enjoyed going to stock car races with her husband, Gerald; however, more recently, she enjoyed watching old westerns, especially "Gunsmoke."
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her devoted husband, Ralph Gerald Lewis, in 2021. The two were rarely far apart.
Surviving are her two daughters, Donna Rae Robinson (Clayton) of Salisbury, Md., and Diane Lewis (George) of Roxana; three grandchildren, Aaron Robinson (Dawn), Stacey Hutson (Tom) and Zachry Brinker (Karen); and three great-grandchildren, Grace and Rebecca Robinson, and Reagan Hutson.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, June 30, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will follow the services at Roxana Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, Attn: Southern Division, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
