Jimmie Allen concert at Dogfish to benefit Milton food pantry May 14

May 12, 2019

Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach will welcome country music star Jimmie Allen to its stage at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 14.

A native of Milton, home to Dogfish Head’s production brewery, Allen is returning home to the slower lower to share his music with fans and friends alike. Throughout the evening, folks will be treated to Allen’s powerful voice and soulful sense of groove, as well as his love of deep messages and knack for razor-sharp hooks.

“The name of my debut album is ‘Mercury Lane.’ It’s the street in Milton where my journey began,” said Allen. “All the fundamental life lessons that shaped my values, I was taught on that street – it’s where I learned about love, life, how to believe in myself, the concept of never giving up, following your dreams and being a good person. Coming home to play a show a short drive from where I grew up is going to be a homecoming!”

Proceeds will benefit the Milton Community Food Pantry, an organization working to combat hunger in the Milton area. General admission tickets are $30, and a limited number of $60 VIP tickets will also be available. VIP admission includes early access to the venue, light refreshments and a pre-show meet and greet with Allen.

“We built a state-of-the-art stage at our brewpub because we believe that drinking a beautiful beer while listening to original music is an exponentially awesome experience,” said Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head founder and CEO. “As a true beer geek with a music problem, I’m beyond excited for Jimmie to join us on our stage and to hear him bring lyrics to life.”

Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats offers guests wood-grilled food, off-centered beers, scratch-made spirits and a rockin’ lineup of live music. Equipped with a premium sound and lighting system, and a professional soundboard, Brewings & Eats boasts an elevated, 220-square-foot stage, and hosts national, regional and local musical acts on a weekly basis.
