Joan A. (O’Hare) Miles, devoted to family

Joan A. (O’Hare) Miles passed away peacefully in Sonoma, Calif., Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at the age of 88.

Joan was preceded in death by her husbands, James J. O’Hare, Edward Miles and Larry Kelly; her parents Martin and Margaret Rieman; brother Carl J. Rieman; and sister Norma Gallahan. She is survived by her children Michael O’Hare (Karen), Jan Mandrell (Robert), Patrick O’Hare (Denise), Marta Hutton (Marc), Nancy White, Timothy O’Hare (Vickie) and Tina O’Hare (William). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joan was a wonderful woman, and a warm, giving person with an ever-ready spirit. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend, and will be greatly by all, but especially her family. The family wishes to express gratitude to her dedicated care givers and supportive friends. She will now join our dad, Jim, and be in peace. We love you mom.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach. Interment will follow at Mariner’s Bethel Cemetery, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View.
