John Edward Morris, 76, of Lewes, formerly of Elmont, N.Y., passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026.

He was the son of the late John P. and Theresa K. Morris.

His siblings include Robert J. (deceased), James P. (Maryanne), Janet M. (Chris) and three others. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, and 17 grand-nieces and -nephews.

John proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service after many years of dedicated service.

A chapel committal service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
