Joseph L. LeDoux, retired truck driver

Joseph L. LeDoux, 76, of Millsboro, formerly of Point Pleasant Borough, N.J., passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born in Brainard, Minn., Feb. 15, 1942, son of the late Wilfred and Rose (Smith) LeDoux. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the Good Conduct Medal.
Joe worked as a truck driver for Canada Dry in Neptune, N.J., for 39 years before retiring and moving to Delaware. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan and a member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro. Joe enjoyed playing hockey and was a talented goalie in his younger years. He also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, and was an amazing cook. He will be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humor and his loving devotion to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Art. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara M. (Kinon) LeDoux; five children, Joseph LeDoux Jr. of Bayville, N.J., Craig (Tracey) LeDoux of Lewes, Denise LeDoux of Bayville, Todd LeDoux of Bayville and Troy LeDoux of Bradley Beach, N.J. Joe is also survived by three brothers, Jim, Dave and Richard; a sister, Gail; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held at noon, Friday, July 13, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
