Joyce Ann Hall Redmond, Selbyville resident
Joyce Ann Hall Redmond, 78, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Joyce was a resident of Selbyville, born Feb. 23, 1940, to the late Chester and Hazel Hitchens Hall.
She was a graduate of Selbyville High School and later moved to Wilmington, where she resided for 19 years. She and her late husband, Marvin T. Redmond, and son moved back to the area in 1977.
She is survived by her son Michael T. Redmond and his wife Janice; granddaughter Kaitlyn Redmond and grandson, Brayden Redmond of Townsend. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, John F. Downes; nephew, Chester William Downes and his wife Vicki of Gumboro; and several cousins.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 18, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Selbyville Redmen’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Joyce’s memory to CHEER Homebound Meals, 547 S. Bedford St.,Georgetown, DE 19947, or to a charity of your choice.
