Joyce Campot, lived extraordinary life

March 25, 2023
Joyce Campot went home to the Lord Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, after an extraordinary life well-lived in which she created a beautiful and loving family and made many lasting friendships. Joyce was born in Boston, Mass., raised her family in Falls Church, Va., and retired to Lewes over 20 years ago, where her many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren spent fun-filled summers and made special memories at her beach house.

Better known as “Nana” to her family, she exemplified Irish charm and always had a smile on her face. She dedicated her life to raising her family with love, laughter, acceptance and kindness.

Joyce loved music and singing, and was an avid theatergoer and bridge player, who enjoyed playing with her wonderful friends in her bridge group at The Beacon Inn in Lewes.

Joyce leaves behind a loving family who were the joys of her life, her five children, Sandy (deceased), Susan Rudolph (Jim), Sharon Petrosino (Neil), Steven Campot (Karla) and Sara Colvin (David); 11 grandchildren, Beth (Tim), Amanda (Dave), Becca, Nicholas, Annie, Stephanie (Gary), Daniel, Charlotte, JP, Mary Kate and Mark; and four great-grandchildren, Allie, Finn, Avery and Jack.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Joyce’s memory to Inova Schar Cancer Institute, support.inova.org/page/3749/donate/1?locale=en-US.
