Just say ‘no’ to BeachWalk

January 19, 2018

The Rehoboth Beach Board of Commissioners will hear the appeal of BeachWalk Friday, Jan. 26. It is time for the commissioners to say an emphatic "no" to BeachWalk. The city's building inspector said "no" July 29, 2015. The planning commission said "no" Aug. 12, 2016. And the commissioners should say "no" Jan. 26, 2018, after two-and–half years.

The "no" decisions all are based on the same issues: no streets; no sidewalks; no off-street parking; refusal to provide square footage breakdown of common areas; too many houses for the amount of space; not enough natural area per residential unit.

Commissioners: Please, do your job. Uphold the law. Just say "No!"
