Kathryn ‘Kaity’ Mulford West, home consultant

August 12, 2019

Kathryn "Kaity" Mulford West’s adventure in this world concluded Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019.  She was 31.  She was born in Ephrata, Pa., and moved to Delaware, settling in Seaford.

She was a graduate of Seaford High School and Wor-Wic College.  She worked in banking and finance for years until finding her passion as a home consultant with Bay to Beach Builders, helping customers to realize their home dreams.

Kaity was born June 26, 1988, in Ephrata.  Her family settled in Delaware, where Kaity cultivated numerous interests and hobbies.  She was an avid sailor and cyclist with her family.  She loved gourmet cooking, healthy eating and was impassioned about exercise and tenets of healthy living, as well as anything involving the beach.  She loved to dance and socialize with friends and family.  She loved to travel and explore new areas and countries.  She was an animal lover and owned numerous pets.  Most importantly, Kaity understood the value of letting people that mattered to her know that they mattered.  She was a beacon of positive energy and supportive of all around her, always sharing a kind word or gesture.

Kaity was preceded in passing by her grandfathers, the Rev. David B. Mulford and George Klinger; and her cousin, Alexis Brielle Mulford.  She is survived by her parents, Lars and Michele Mulford; sister Rachel Mulford; grandmothers Elaine Klinger and Ruth S. Mulford; great-grandmother Ruby Slevin; aunts and uncles Elaine and Steve Herring, George and Amiee Klinger, David Mulford, Kari and John Thompson, Hans and Elaine Mulford, Nils Mulford, Siri Mulford, Eph and Donna Mulford, Kristi and James King; and cousins Amy Herring, Stevie Herring, Johnny Thompson, Erica Beck, Caroline Thompson, Erik Mulford, Ethan Mulford, Skyler Mulford, Kelsey Mulford, J.L. King, David King; and her significant other Andrew Null.

A Celebration Of Life for Kaity will take place at the Greenwood Fire Hall Sunday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m.  A private event for family will take place beforehand and the family asks that visitors respect this and not arrive in advance of the 5 p.m. Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the #KaityStrongForever Foundation, care of TideMark Federal Credit Union, attention Ellen Hearn, for Kaity Mulford West, 1941 Bridgeville Highway, Seaford, DE.  Alternatively, please honor Kaity’s memory and passion for animals by making a donation in her name to the SPCA, Humane Society or local animal shelter in your area.
