Kent Steven Brittingham, sheet metal mechanic

Kent Steven Brittingham, 50, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at his home. He was born Thursday, Jan. 5, 1967, in Wilmington, son of the late Carol A. Brittingham.

Mr. Brittingham was born and raised in the Wilmington area and made a career as a sheet metal mechanic. He loved spending his free time fishing and would cast a line at any given opportunity. Above all, he cherished time spent with beloved family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend, and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Brittingham is survived by his sister, Beth Newman; his aunts: Sherell Buonassisi, Janice Sticher (Chris), and Cynthia Patterson (Pat); his cousins: Chip Rohrbaugh (Paula Riley), Jennifer Rodick, Ethan Rohrbaugh, Taylor Rohrbaugh, Amber Kelly, Heather Pacelli, Andrew Patterson, Jamie Chandler, Stouffer Ackerman, Olivia Arnbal, Anders Arnbal, Ian Anderson and Brittany Hines; his niece, Dana Rodriguez; and three great-nephews.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.

Mr. Brittingham's family is truly grateful for all the generosity, support, and kindness given to him from friends, neighbors, health care professionals, and various church organizations.
