Kirtan transcendental jams continue at Milton Theatre July 26

The next kirtan transcendental jam session at the Milton Theatre is set for 6 p.m., Thursday, July 26. 

A form of chanting and musical meditation, kirtan has its roots in India 3,000 years ago. Kirtan is part of bhakti yoga, a devotional form of yoga which integrates singing, rhythmic drumming, chanting, clapping and dancing to spiritually connect participants.

This unique form of meditation leaves participants feeling bliss inside and out. Now in its third year, kirtan continues to gain a solid following among locals whose aim is to come together once a month for peaceful meditation. The experience includes a complimentary vegetarian feast after the event.
