Lagree dodges the question at forum

July 31, 2020

At the recent CAMP Rehoboth/Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association forum all candidates for the municipal election were asked if they supported Donald Trump.  All of them except Jay Lagree said they did not.  According to the Cape Gazette, Jay Lagree  “ . . . declined to answer because he said he thought the question demeaned the forum.”

Well, well, Mr. Lagree, I think your comment demeaned your candidacy. Why did you dodge the question? Was it because you did not want to admit the truth?  If you can’t publicly admit that you are a Trump supporter or not, how can you be trusted as a Rehoboth Beach commissioner? Dodging impairs trustworthiness. Too many politicians dodge the answers today.  We don’t need a dodger  on our board of commissioners.  There are too many important decisions to be made during these trying and challenging days.
