Lane Builders’ Keith Hastings nails hole-in-one to win Chevy

October 13, 2019

Keith Hastings, one of the owners of Lane Builders L.L.C., along with many others, participated in the Contractors for a Cause Foundation’s Fall Golf Classic Oct. 4. at Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club.

Contractors for a Cause Foundation is a nonprofit organization of local contractors who strive to give back to the community that supports them. This nonprofit group provides scholarships for local high school graduating seniors striving to start a career in the construction field. Contractors for a Cause even provides free services and advice to disadvantaged community members who may need a hand.

This tournament was like no other for Hastings and his Lane Builders team. On the 16th hole, Hastings nailed his first hole-in-one. An avid golfer, Hasting couldn’t believe his luck. “I hit a 5-wood way further right than I wanted. Suddenly, the wind took it straight to the green, it rolled all the way up and popped right in the hole. We couldn’t believe our eyes,” Hastings said.

The hole-in-one prize was a brand new 2020 Chevy Silverado Truck from i.g. Burton and company in Berlin, Md. “What a great day it is. I’ve been golfing for quite some time and this is the first hole-in-one I’ve ever seen. It’s the icing on the cake that it was all for a great cause,” said Hastings.

Lane Builders continues to serve the community as the team also teed off to support the local charity Clothing our Kids at the Peninsula Golf & Country Club. They are also avid supporters of Delaware Hospice, Beebe Medical Foundation, Lewes Little League, Special Olympics, Rehoboth Art League, Rotary Club of Lewes, Camp Barnes, and Milton Little League, to name a few.

For over 35 years, Lane Builders has designed and built original architecturally inspired homes. For more information, go to www.lanebuilders.com.
