A Georgetown man is in critical condition following a crash Dec. 5 near Georgetown.
The man, 28, was driving a Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound on Asbury Road east of Davis Road when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.
The car exited the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest in an open field, Jaffe said.
The man was the only occupant; he was not properly restrained and he was ejected from the car, Jaffe said. He was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and later transferred to the Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
The eastbound lane of Asbury Road was closed for about 2.5 hours while the crash was investigated and cleared. The crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
