New Jersey’s Gov. Phil Murphy just signed a bill legalizing recreational cannabis in the state. This makes 14 states and the District of Columbia to legalize recreational cannabis for adult use. Even Virginia state legislature is set to vote on a bill in their state that Gov. Northam has expressed ample support for. When will Delaware Legislature pass the commonsense legislation of legalizing cannabis for adults 21 and over? Delaware’s “wait and see approach” is going to cause our state to redistribute potential economic opportunity to neighboring states within the Mid-Atlantic region. Without legislation passed, Delaware is evading the prime opportunity to establish a legal regulated industry for an illegal industry that already exists.
Contact your legislators and urge them to legalize cannabis for adults in 2021.
