Lester J. Pyle Sr., retired driver

Lester J. Pyle Sr. went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020.

 He was born Nov. 14, 1938, son of the late Carrie Case and Wilson Elijah Pyle.

Lester proudly served in the U.S. Army. He then went on to work at Electric Hose and Rubber. He also worked for AAMCO Chemical until its demise, at which time he went to work for Sun Oil in Marcus Hook, Pa. He retired in the ‘90s but went on to work part time for Sherman Williams as a driver.

Lester loved bowling, playing games on his tablet, and conversing with his friends on Facebook. He was also an avid Steelers fan.

Lester is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosa Jane (Maguire) Pyle; four children: Lester J. Pyle Jr. and his wife Amanda, Sharon J. Andrews, Bonnie J. Nemistil and her husband Dan, and Roland B. Pyle; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two dear caregivers, Kimberly Kotowski and Monty McMullen.

Interment with Military Honors will be held Friday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m., at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
