Letter: Comment on Sussex comp plan by Nov. 9

November 6, 2018

Thanks to the Center for the Inland Bays and Chris Bason for spelling out the serious dangers Sussex Countians face from sea level rise and global warming.

The Inland Bays have lost over 3,500 acres of salt marsh since the 1930s, leading to more flooding and storm damage like we have seen in the South.

We must work to stop this trend through more thoughtful planning, including forested buffers recommended in the new Sussex County Comprehensive Plan.  Please let your council representative know your concern before the Nov. 9 deadline.
