Letter: Community makes Harbor Health Care holiday a success

January 31, 2019

What a  big-hearted neighborhood that we are lucky to be a part of!  The outpouring of holiday gifts this year was just tremendous!

The large amount of gifts donated allowed each and every resident numerous items that were both wanted and needed, and were received  on Christmas morning!

These items brought many smiles to our residents - they are all so thankful and  grateful to each and every one of you.

I would like to name a few of these generous people and groups (please forgive me if I have unintentionally left someone off)  Volunteer Delaware 50+, Quakertown Wellness,  50+ Nimble Fingers, Zwaanendael Women’s Club, Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540, First Town Club of Lewes, Metropolitan Community Church, UNICO, Jefferson Lodge 15 Masonic Center, Frances Field, Eileen and Scott Wilkinson, NARFE, The Early Birds Club, Adopt a Family, American Legion Unit 17, Lewes Senior Center, St. Andrew’s Orthodox Church, Meadows of Beaver Creek, Joyce Stevens, Children & Families First,  Judy and Peter Pigani, Adrienne Ponzini,  Salvation Army of Seaford, Dr. Susan Levy, local Boy Scout troops, and  Meadows of Beaver Creek.

I cannot thank each of you enough for your generosity and support of our residents.  I sure hope  you all had  a good holiday - because you sure made ours happy!
