LETTER: Delaware City mayor supports McGuiness

August 31, 2018

The upcoming election for our Delaware state auditor has become a focus of vital attention. The selected candidate must and should be able to take a team of loyal state employees and get the best out of them in order to take care of all citizens in the state.

The job of being the Delaware state auditor is a demanding job - one which requires tireless work, honesty and commitment. In addition, our auditor must be a person who knows how to manage people in order that audits are done in accordance with written rules and regulations set forth by compliance mandates.

I believe Kathy McGuiness is the person for this job, and I make this statement based on an important quality that our parents teach us, and that is “integrity.” Take the time as a voter to go on her website and read about her many accomplishments.

Stanley E. Green
Mayor, Delaware City
