LETTER: DelDOT, Sussex officials negligent

August 30, 2018

I wholeheartedly agree with the recent writers to the Gazette, Paul Casey and Bob Frost. There can be no doubt that we need a moratorium on development in southern Sussex County.

The continuing explosion of development throughout the county is poorly planned and out of control, and compounded by a deteriorating infrastructure and a traffic density that is unbelievable.

DelDOT has been negligent beyond belief in allowing the highways and intersections to become gridlocked.

Clearly, DelDOT and the Sussex County Council have been remiss in their duties to create comprehensive plans that would have looked to the future of the environment and quality of life in this region.

Remember this the next time you vote.
