LETTER: Former Cape teacher endorses McGuiness

September 4, 2018

I send this letter in support of Kathy McGuiness. I am a former teacher of Kathy McGuiness, and can tell anyone who does not know her that she is quite capable of serving as the state auditor.

I have taught numerous students in the Cape Henlopen School District during my tenure there. I was one of the first teachers hired when the Cape district became the united district of the towns Lewes, Rehoboth and Milton, and later, I became an administrator in the district. I am a native Sussex Countian raised in the Lewes, Milton and Rehoboth region so I know my students, their families and this community very well. We were always like a family and remain so today. I say this to eliminate any doubt that I know what I am talking about.

Kathy McGuiness is very intelligent, energetic, dedicated, hardworking, organized and a fast learner. Her credentials and community involvement speak for her. Therefore, I am not going to list everything she has accomplished in this letter because that is now a known fact. I simply want it known that Kathy McGuiness is ready, willing and able to run the state auditor’s office. All she needs is the opportunity to do the job and continue to share her talent and skills.

Let’s give her that opportunity Sept. 6. Make a difference and a give a qualified Sussex Countian the opportunity to serve our state.

Vote Sept. 6 for Kathy McGuiness!
