Letter: Lewes library must face Villages of Five Points

May 24, 2019

The Lewes Public Library Commission had the opportunity to build its new building at Five Points in a nice parcel of ground.

Instead they decided to build within the city of Lewes. Nice choice. They built a fine library. Now their problem is paying for it.

You had the choice of building at Five Points and decided against it. Now that parcel is no longer available to you. You snooze, you lose.

No turning back. Pay for your library any way you can, but do not plan on stealing this fine water view lot at Five Points.

The library board needs to have a meeting with the community of Five Points, and let us know when you are planning on getting your phony library kiosk the hell off our property and take your benches with you.

You can’t duck us forever. Meet or go to court. You will never pay for that new library with the legal fees you may have to pay in the near future.
