Letter: Milton Community Foundation thanks supporters

February 21, 2019

The Milton Community Foundation would like to thank everyone who attended our hugely successful Bingo Night fundraiser Feb. 12 at the Milton Fire Hall.

The focus of our fundraising was the new H.O. Brittingham Scholarship Fund.

Ken Brittingham came to the foundation last year to seek a nonprofit’s support for this new scholarship, which honors his grandfather, Herman Oscar Brittingham. The MCF enthusiastically joined Ken in his effort. Any Milton student, when graduating from Cape Henlopen High School, will be eligible to apply.

To be eligible, the student will need to be pursuing a degree in the field of education. As the scholarship grows, the long- term goal is to make the scholarship available to every Cape Henlopen graduate. Again, the Milton Community Foundation, Ken Brittingham and his family thank everyone who came out to support this worthwhile effort.
