Letter: Read Aloud thanks Sussex community

January 24, 2019

Read Aloud Delaware has had the opportunity to participate in Grotto’s Parade of Trees for several years.

Each year our tree has focused on a children’s storybook theme. Children and families enjoyed the tree, and had an opportunity to read the story as well. Grotto’s Grand Slam has always made it a festive occasion, and contributed to each of the nonprofit organizations that have participated.

We not only thank the corporate headquarters but the Grand Slam location for making us welcome.  The manager, Miss A, and all the staff at the Grand Slam and Grotto’s headquarters are super supporters of literacy and our mission to read one-on-one to children in Delaware. Thank you for your generosity and honoring Read Aloud Delaware this past holiday season as you move forward with new fundraising events.
