I can sum up most of my feelings about the Kavanaugh nomination travesty by this statement: “I stand with Sen. Susan Collins.”
In a riveting 45-minute speech she basically dismantled step-by-step the Democrats’ looney and malicious arguments against Judge Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court. I think it is safe to say that the path the Democrats are going down is dark and dangerous to our country. I firmly believe there will be a price to pay going forward for what the Democrats have done.
Hopefully the leaker of Dr. Ford’s private correspondence will be identified, fired and publicly shamed.
Hopefully the left-wing lawyer who apparently tried to strong-arm Dr. Ford’s best friend into changing her testimony should be prosecuted for witness tampering and be disbarred.
Hopefully after seeing the far-left protest mobs inside the Senate offices, folks who want to give more power to the Democrats this fall will have second thoughts.
These mobs were just a fraction away from actual violence.
And as for you, Sen. Coons, you are just another leftist zombie who does the bidding of your Democrat masters. I personally challenge you, Sen. Coons, to read the entire text of Sen. Collins’ speech and explain to me what she got wrong.
And finally, for all of you sycophants who toe the Democratic Party’s line that Judge Kavanaugh was not fit to serve on the Supreme Court because of the allegations against him, violence against women is a significant problem in this country. In my opinion the Me Too movement was a blessing to many women in this country.
However, there is something even more important than this movement; it is called Due Process Under the Law. Don’t believe me? Imagine you have an adult son who is trying to be hired for his dream job. He has been thoroughly vetted, and he is more than qualified. At the last minute, an old girlfriend from his past publicly alleges your son was guilty of domestic violence toward her.
She has no evidence to support this claim other than her word, and everyone she puts forward as a witness cannot corroborate her story. On the contrary, your son has numerous witnesses who claim he is innocent of this charge, and can provide evidence to the contrary.
However, simply because these unproven allegations were made, your son does not get the job because his future employer does not believe in due process. He is publicly shunned by his friends, loses his position as a high school basketball coach, and worse. Imagine if this were your son. How would you feel? Think about it long and hard, because that is exactly how Judge Kavanaugh’s family feels right now.
If you think the adult son in my example deserved to be treated that way, then vote for the Democrats.
