Letter: Thanks to those who cleaned New Road

April 12, 2019

I wish to express my deepest appreciation to the persons in the Adopt-A-Highway program who cleaned up the trash and litter on New Road in Lewes. I would like to join your group.

We should also consider the recently completed rails-to-trails walkway from Lewes west to Georgetown as a target for cleaning. The section of walkway from Old Orchard Road to past the Lewes Senior Center is in bad shape with trash and litter.

I would like to see a countywide and statewide program to clean up our environment which, sadly, has deteriorated.
