Letter: Veterans Day honors the living

November 30, 2018

The Jeff Rodgers letter vilified President Trump for not visiting Arlington Cemetery on Veterans Day.

Our president apologized for not visiting the cemetery. I for one don’t understand why an apology was necessary.

I and millions of veterans know Veterans Day is a day to thank living veterans for their service.

Memorial Day is a day to remember those that have died.  It is quite apparent that Mr. Rodgers never served or he would know that.
