Letter: Vote Stevens for Dewey commissioner

September 14, 2018

I have known William Stevens for more than 10 years. I first encouraged him and his wife, Janine, to come to Dewey for BreastFest Dewey in 2010.

They volunteered for many years for BreastFest Baltimore, and I thought they would make great volunteers for Dewey. Who would have known they would love Dewey so much they would make it their home?

Bill has grown from acquaintance to friend and steadfast volunteer. He has gone above and beyond to help my foundation, The Tyanna Foundation, as co-chair of BreastFest Dewey at the Bottle & Cork each August.  Whether he’s running in the 5K in a pink tutu or keeping track of the donations for me, I never have to worry about the success of the event with him as my right hand.

He is fair, honest and always straightforward. I strongly believe that Dewey Beach would benefit from his financial acumen, team-building skills and entrepreneurial track record. Vote for William Stevens for Dewey Beach commissioner.

Anne O’Brien
founder, The Tyanna Foundation
