Letter: Writing in support of Janet Maull-Martin

April 19, 2019

I am writing to express my full support for Janet Maull-Martin for the Cape Henlopen school board Area C seat. As a Lewes native and product of the Cape Henlopen School District, I have known Mrs. Maull-Martin as both a member of the community and as an educator when she was a sixth-grade teacher.

The quality that most exemplifies her as an educator and a neighbor is her passion. The passion was the same whether she was standing in front of a chalkboard or cheering from the stands. It is that same passion that gives me security in knowing that she has the genuine interest of all children at heart. Her passion and experience will be an asset to the school board.

Mrs. Maull-Martin’s platform and vision is one that promises to provide leadership that will be advantageous to the educational success of children throughout the district. It is a rare opportunity to get to work with an actual mentor from your youth once you become an adult. Throughout the past year I have experienced working with Mrs. Maull-Martin on the Community Minority Liaison Committee.

It is the knowledge and leadership that I witnessed firsthand in this regard that makes Mrs. Maull-Martin my candidate of choice and the person I believe is best suited to help shape the educational experience of district children and parents from the Area C seat.
