The Lewes Vintage Base Ball Club took on the Diamond State Base Ball Club July 1 at its home field at the Villages of Five Points. It was nearly 100 degrees, and the Diamond State bats were hot, too, sweeping the doubleheader 10-3 and 9-2.
The Lewes Vintage Base Ball Club plays by 1864 rules. The next contest is Sunday, July 15, at home versus the Fair Plays of Talbot.
