Lewes in Bloom fills park with pumpkins

November 4, 2017

Zwaanendael Park was filled with 65 carved pumpkins on Halloween night, and Lewes in Bloom volunteers were on hand to give out candy to the trick or treaters who wandered into the park.

Russell Huxtable, the event organizer purchase a car-full of pumpkins from Fifer’s Orchards for the event. The pumpkins were carved at the Lewes Historical Society complex on Shipcarpenter Street Oct. 29 and transported to the park Halloween night for display.

Displays included everything from traditional jack-o-lanterns to Pac-Man chasing a ghost to “Lewes.”
